Among the four Christmas releases- Mammootty- Sreenivasan’s Katha Parayumbol is the clear winner by a mile. The film which opened in 40 centers will add more releasing stations from this week. It is early days but producers Mukesh and Sreenivasan can be happy that it is a hit film, which will do better in the coming weeks.
Pritviraj’s Kangaroo made on a low budget and due to the clout of its distributors Lal Creations got decent theatres which proved beneficial and the film has been declared an above average film at the box-office.
Dileep’s Romeo is an average grosser which is likely to break even, as its distributors Marakkar Films smartly released it a week earlier and reaped the benefits.
But what has shocked the trade is the total collapse of Mohanlal’s Flash, which is turning out to be a turkey at the Christmas Box-office. The film even failed to get the famous ‘Mohanlal’ opening!
