- Well known evangelist D G S Dinakaran died at a private hospital at Chennai ,India on 20th February following a brief illness.He was 74 and is survived by wife, a son and three grand children.
- Dinakaran was admitted to the Apollo hospital here on January 29 due to heart and kidney ailments.
- The evangelist, who founded 'Jesus calls' and made it a worldwide ministry.

My deep condolence to his family members. It's a loss to the whole world.
But we have a hope, he is now crowned with glory in heaven.

A Man of compassion and love of God. Through His message in 1982 in Bahrain i gave my life to Christ.. Nothing compares to this Man of God who reflected Christ to this world. it is heart breaking! I am pleased to say that i also lived in the span of years where A MAN OF GOD uncle DGS also lived along. I am gratefull to see him in meeting..thanks to god to hear Jesus voice through Uncle..DGS...love and compassion.... i am not a worthfull person to talk about.. uncle.. i hear his voice daily through any medias.....thanks to jesus to offering such a MAN OF GOD like MOSES,ELIYA,ESAYA,JOB,DANIEL,DAVID.AND... so on....thank u Jehovah god......UNCLE I LOVE U.....
DGS. Dinakaran’s prayer was actually killing the ailing poor christians faster. Eventually his prayers killed him faster. Without the prayer, Dinakaran would have lived longer.

Truly a Great man of God who has touched many lives through his messages, songs and prayers. I praise God for this great man of God. I miss you Uncle Dhinakaran.
